Valerie Soe

Valerie Soe is a fourth-generation Chinese American from the San Francisco Bay area. Her video pieces are personal expressions of her experience as a Chinese-American woman, and treat intersecting issues of race, social prejudice, and the politics of difference in mainstream American culture and marginalized Chinese-American culture.
