About Hatice Güleryüz

Hatice Güleryüz (born 1968, in Turkey) is a contemporary artist currently residing in Los Angeles. Her practice spans a broad range of media including Super-8 film, video, photography, art books and drawings. Güleryüz has a Master of Arts degree from Plymouth University in England, studied at the Fine Arts Jan van Eyck Academy and the Willem de Kooning Academy, Piet Zwart Institute, in Holland.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the fine art faculty at Izmir Dokuz Eylül Universty in Turkey.

Her work has been presented in museums, galleries, art exhibitions and film festivals throughout the world, including: 9” International Istanbul Biennial, Turkey; Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; Berkeley Art Museum, San Francisco, USA; Freud Museum, London, England; Transmediale 05, Berlin, Germany; Culturel Centre, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and The International Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Germany; among others.
