Rebeca Bollinger is a visual artist working with single and multi-channel video installations, digital photographs, and drawings. She reformats existing data and images, synthesizing and utilizing the leftovers of the information age in new forms.
She has exhibited at the Museum Fridericianum in Kassel, Germany, and the Sonia Henie Onstad Museum in Oslo, Norway—as well as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Krannert Art Museum, Otis Gallery, Pacific Film Archive, and the Duke University Museum of Art. Awards include a NEA Creation and Presentation Grant, an Electronic Media Award from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art, an Art Council Grant, a Eureka Fellowship, an Artist Residency from the Headlands Center for the Arts, and an Artists Access Award from the Bay Area Video Coalition. Bollinger lives and works in San Francisco and is represented by Rena Bransten Gallery.
